QUETTA: A complete shutter down strike was observed in Khuzdar, Turbat, Panjgur and other areas of Balochistan on Tuesday to condemn the killing of five missing persons, whose bullet-riddled bodies were found in Khuzdar and Kech districts on Monday.
Baloch National Front (BNF) and Baloch Republican Party (BRP) had given the strike call. Normal life was paralysed as all banks, restaurants and shops remained closed while traffic was thin on the roads. However, some medical stores and restaurants opened after sunset. Condemning the killings, BNF members alleged that the state was violating the human rights in Balochistan and demanded the UN take serious notice of “the extra judicial killings of Balochis”.
