News : SOS sounded as Pakistani I.S.I. shoots, burns to death two Sindhi leaders


LONDON/WASHINGTON DC: Sindhi and Baloch activists in the United Kingdom and United States have condemned the brutal killing of two prominent Sindhi leaders at the hands of Pakistan death squads.

In a press statement issued from London, the World Sindhi Congress strongly condemned the barbaric killing of three people including two very prominent Sindhi nationalist leaders, Qurban Khahawar, Senior Vice Chairman of Jeay Sindh Mutahida Mahaz, and Rooplo Choliani, a veteran nationalist activist.

The three were fatally wounded when armed assailants sprayed their car with bullets near Khipro in broad daylight. To add to thie barbarism, petrol tank of the car was fired upon, while the injured but were still alive in the car.

The witnesses say that the bodies of the bodies are charred beyond recognition.

The W.S.C. said it views that these murders as part of an ongoing state operation on Sindhi nationalists and a continuation of killing of Aijaz Solangi, Zulfiqar Kolachi and disappearance of prominent Sindhi nationalist leader and political activits, Muzaffar Bhutto, Riaz Kakepoto, Shah Nawaz Bhutto, Jam Bhutto, Yasir Notiar and Nawab Mahar.

"W.S.C. together with entire Sindhi nation is deeply saddened at the martyrdom of their two brave sons in such a cruel, inhumane and barbaric fashion," the statement said.

The W.S.C. requested the United Nations, EU, U.K. and U.S.A. governments and other international human rights organisations including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International to press upon Islamabad to stop killings and abduction of Sindhi political leaders and activists.

W.S.C. calls for an independent enquiry committee to investigate the murders and disappearances of thousands of Sindhi and Baloch people political activists.

W.S.C. views that a joint and courageous stand by all Sindhi political and civil society organisations is highly needed on this mater of critical concern for Sindhi nation.

W.S.C. appealed to all Sindhi political and civil society organisations to build a strong united front to protest against these gross violations of human rights by the fascist Pakistani establishment.

In a message of solidarity from Washington DC, the American Friends of Balochistan said the latest killings of Sindhi patriotic leaders and enforced disapperance of political activists is a wake-up call for all Baloch and Sindhi political and civil society organizations that a united front is must to counter the fascism unleashed by the Pakistani state apparatus.

"The A.F.B. condemns the killings of Sindhi activists in the strongest possible terms and calls upon the Sindhi and Baloch people to help each other combat the terror monster named Pakistan, which is closely allied with al Qaeda and is bent upon wrecking havoc not only on Sindh and Balochistan, but the enitre soutwest and sout Asia landscape," two prominent activists of the A.F.B. Malik Baloch and Zahid Mir said in a statement from Washington DC.

Baloch and Mir said the unity between the people of Sindh and Balochistan have been time tested and called upon Sindhi and Baloch patriotic forces to help each other in all possible ways and means.

"Khahawar and Choliani have become immortal by sacrificng their lives in the defense of their sweet motherland called Sindh," the A.F.B. said. "Victory is the destiny of the peoples of Balochistan and Sindh."

The A.F.B. called upon the U.S. government to immediately stop aid to Pakistan because its rogue army and I.S.I. have unleashed a reign of terror in Balochistan and Sindh.
