Occupied Balochistan: A police station in Mastung was attacked with a hand grenade followed by intense firing on Saturday leaving two police personnel injured.
According to police, unknown armed men on motorbike hurled a hand grenade at Railway police station in Mastung town, about 50 kilometres south in Quetta, which exploded inside with a big bang. The attackers also opened fire at police personnel soon after the blast and managed to flee from the scene.
“Two personnel suffered injuries and were taken to District Headquarters Hospital for treatment,” a senior police officer said and adding that security has been beefed up across the district for the arrest of culprits. Those injured were identified as Juma Khan and Javed Ahmed and said to be in critical condition. Mastung police have registered a case and started investigation.
One dead one hurt in landmine blast: One person was killed while another sustained injuries in a landmine blast here Saturday. According to levies authorities, two youth were on their way home when their motorbike hit a landmine in Goth Gul Ghanwar area of Rabi Canal.
As a result, a youth identified as Akhtar died on the spot while his colleague Nadeem sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital. The levies have registered a case against unknown attackers. (Balochistanexpress)
