The law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot soon after the explosion and cordoned off the area. Officials also started the repair work for resumption of gas supply to the purification plant. Police registered a case against unidentified men and started investigation.
BC man killed in landmine blast: A personnel of Balochistan Constabulary (BC) was killed and three others sustained injuries in a land mine blast in Chatter area of Dera Murad Jamali on Tuesday. According to the Police, Balochistan Constabulary Truck was on routine patrolling in the area when it hit a landmine, which was planted by unknown militants and it exploded with a big bang. Resultantly a man died on the spot and three others received splinter wounds.
The deceased and injured were taken to the District Headquarter hospital in Dera Murad Jamali where they have been identified as Faiz Mohammad and injured as Nazar Mohammad, Mohammad Rafiqe and Abdul Wahab. Hospital sources said the Abdul Wahab is in critical condition.
The BRA (Baloch Republican Army) claimed responsibility for the attack on gas pipeline and Balochistan Constabulary.
