Pakistani security forces check post attack in Awaran, policeman killed in Sibi


Occupied Balochistan: A check post of Pakistani security forces was attacked by unknown attackers in Awaran, Balochistan here on Thursday. Resultantly, the check post has been heavily damaged but no loss of lives have been reported.

Meanwhile a spokesperson of BLF (Baloch Liberation Front) Basham Baloch claimed responsibility for the attack. Talking to NNI from an undisclosed location the BLF spokesperson said that the Pakistani security forces suffered heavy casualty and damages to property. He also said that fighters from his organisation killed a government spy in Anjira area near district Zehri of Balochistan.

Policeman shot dead in Sibi: A head constable was killed in an attack on a police post in Killi Dur Mohammad area of Sibi on Thursday, police said.

Unidentified assailants barged into the police post and shot dead Hawaldar Abdul Aziz who was also in charge of the post. The attackers also took away his rifle and motorcycle.

Sibi Division DIG (operation) has suspended two police personnel for dereliction of duty, as both of them were not present at the time of attack.

Meanwhile, a police inspector was attacked with a hand grenade in Gwadar late on Wednesday night. However, he remained unhurt.
