Unidentified people riding a motorbike hurled a grenade on the house of settler located at Kili Bangulzai area of Sariab. Hand grenade landed inside the house and wounded Qamar Alam, his wife Shakeela, sister Hameeda and son Faizan.
The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Condition of Qamar Alam is stated to be serious. The blast also scattered the windowpanes of the house and created panic among the people of the area. Soon after the blast police and personnel of Frontier Corps reached the site and cordoned off the area.
In yet another similar incident, a person was wounded in a hand grenade attack in Brewery Road of Quetta. Unknown assailants lobbed hand grenade on the house owned by Zahid Hameed at Railway Housing Scheme and fled from the scene under the cover of darkness. Due to grenade blast, Zahid who is a govt servant sustained injuries and was taken to Bolan Medical Complex Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, defunct Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) accepted the responsibility for the hand grenade attack in Kili Bangulzai. Police have registered separate cases of both incidents and started investigation.

220 kv tower blown near Mach: Unknown persons blew up 220 kv Sibi-Quetta double circuit transmission line tower No 235 at Kashtari nullah near Mach in the small hours on Friday. According to details unknown men attached explosives to an Electric tower which went off with a big bang and heavily damaged the tower. Electric supply to the adjourning areas has been suspended.
