The Baloch Women protesters said that on the orders of Balochistan government lands of Marri Baloch people in New Kahan were being bulldozed, and conspires were under way to replace the Baloch population with foreign settlers, Afghan refugees and Taliban. They alleged that Balochistan government for sake of few million rupees wanted to sell the Baloch land to Islamic extremists and Afghan refugees. This means! The Baloch will be turned into minority on their own home land and their ownership claim over Baloch land will be badly affected if the refugees and other non Baloch are allowed or brought systematically to settle on Baloch lands.
On the other hand Pakistani navy is planning to displace thousands of Baloch from the coastal region of Balochistan including Gwader, Ormara, and Kalmat. The navy is using so called constitution of Pakistan to justify the illegal occupation Baloch lands for a Naval Base in the region, but the reality is that; these lands are being allot to Pakistani army generals and other non Baloch including Mohajirs (Migrants for India) [MQM people].
The proposed blue print of Jinah Naval Base include Baloch lands in Ormara as well, which means the Pakistan navy through their military might and under cover of so called constitution wants to expel Baloch people from their ancestral lands and shift them to other unknown places. They Women Panel said that Baloch people lifeline in Ormara and other coastal region depends on fishing business and if they are expelled from these regions it will be the economical, cultural and political genocide of these Baloch people.
They said government of Balochistan was demolishing the houses of Marri Baloch people in New Kahan Quetta and were planning to settle non Baloch in the region. Whenever Baloch people protest against the occupation of their lands, the Pakistani FC target kills them and labels them as terrorists. The BWP made it clear that the Baloch people will resist any such attempt to displace indigenous Baloch from their ancestral lands. The protesters said that Baloch Nation urges the United Nations to take notice of Pakistan’s atrocities in Balochistan and the illegal occupation of Baloch lands. “UN should intervene and save the people of Balochistan from state’s [Pakistan] oppressions”.
