The three men Arif Noor Baloch, Hamid Hameed Baloch and Bashir Ahmad were arrested and disappeared from Karachi, Besima and Khuzdar respectively.
Karachi: According to reports between 40 -50 personnel of Pakistan intelligence agencies along with the local police barged into the house of Arif Noor Baloch on 31-10-2010, in a fashion as if they were there to conquer a huge battle. Mr. Baloch’s younger brother Abid Baloch, his sisters and mother were harassed and taken hostage at gunpoint. They severely beaten Arif Noor Baloch, handcuffed him in front of his family and blind folded him by putting a black cloth on his head before dragging him out of his house and throwing him into their official vehicle, reported BalochJohd.com.
While Arif Baloch was being taken away his sister pleaded to the Pakistani security forces by presenting them the Holy Quran (Islamic Holy Book) the Muslim officials of Islamic republic of Pakistan threw away the holy Quran by saying that they were not there to play, and continued to drag Mr Baloch to their vehicle. Several people outside the house witnessed the humiliating situation of Arif Noor Baloch while the Pakistani forces dump him in their without number plate vehicle and drove off.
Arif Baloch, who had come to Karachi for treatment, is an employee of GDA (Gwadar Development Authority) which is a government institution. It is assumed that the sole reason of his abduction was his patriotic passion toward his Nation [Baloch Nation.] Mr Baloch’s friends and family are expected to hold a press conference in front of Karachi Press club today to let the media know about his arrest and disappearance.
Besima: Mother of another Baloch man Mr. Hamid Hameed has said that around 12 Pakistani security forces vehicle surrounded their home in Besima region of Balochistan. The raid took place on 31-10-2010. “My son was brutally tortured and as a result he became unconscious; they took him away while he had still not regained his consciousness.”
Talking for Daily Intekhab she further said that her son is police official and her husband is a Levis staff but still the security forces have arrested him. She said such behaviour of forces was unfair and sheer brutality. She appealed to Human Rights Organisations to play their role to for the recovery and release of her son.
Khuzdar: The BUC new blog reported that a Bashir Ahamd Mengal has been abducted from Baldia Roda Khuzdar last night (01-11-2010) by unknown armed men. It is worth mentioning that after the statement of Pakistan federal minister Rehman Malik about giving police powers to FC and the use of force in Balochistan, the security forces have paced up the arrest and disappearances of Baloch activists.
Around twenty Baloch activists who hail from different parties and professional including students, doctors and lawyers have been abducted from Khuzdar only. Some of them have been killed in custody and their bodies were discovered in deserted areas while others are still in the custody of Pakistan’s intelligence agencies. Their families still hope to reunite with their loved ones some day.
People of Balochistan, especially, the families of Baloch abducted persons have lost faith in Pakistan government and its relative department including the judiciary. They hope that International Human Right Organisations such Amnesty International and UN Human Rights council will help them raise their voice against enforced-disappearances of their loved ones. However, so far the culprits of human rights violator in Balochistan are at large and living with immunity in Pakistan and outside Pakistan.
