Motheran-e-Baluchistan establish token hunger strike camp for Baluch forced-disappeared activists

Family of Zakir Majeed and other Baluch abducted activists’ should not feel alone, we are with them till the last breath: Motheran-e-Baluchistan (Mothers of Baluchistan)
Occupied Baluchistan: Motheran-e-Baluchistan (Mothers of Baluchistan) have established a token hunger strike camp in Thump town of Baluchistan in show their solidarity with the family of BSO-azaad senior vice chairman Zakir Majeed and other Baluch forced-disappeared political activists. In a statement they said “we are forced to take to streets because our educated youth including students and doctors have been forcefully disappeared by Pakistani intelligence agencies”.

Motheran-e-Baluchistan said that the history has witnessed that Baluch mothers and sisters have always stood by their brothers in difficult times (of wars). They said the Ruling powers cannot suppress their voice with barrel of guns and that they will continue expose the plight to Baluch Nation to the contemporary world. The contractors of Islam (Pakistan) cannot deceive the world in the name of religion (Islam) any more.

If zakir majeed can suffer torture for being a Baluch in Pakistani torture cells then “as a Baluch” every Baluch stands with him and his family. Zakir’s mother and sisters should not feel alone, we are with them till the last breath. The mothers of Baluchistan said that soon they will expand their hunger strike camp in other areas of Baluchistan.

Meanwhile activists of BSO-azaad including Banuk Karima Baluch and other Baluch women have visited the protest camp of motheran-e-Baluchistan and assured them full co-operation. They also praised the Baluch mothers for their courageous struggle for the recovery and immediate release of Baluch patriot sons. Banuk Karima Baluch said that BSO-azaad will do their utmost to raise the issue of forced-disappearances in Baluchistan. She said that Baluch students and Baluch women along with motheran-e-Baluchistan will establish protest camps in every corner of Baluchistan.

The protester at the camp and the visitors have strongly criticised the UN for not doing enough for the recovery of Baluch abducted activists. They urged the UN to take action against Pakistani intelligence agencies instead of turning a blind eye on the atrocities against the people of Baluchistan.

Meanwhile the family of Zakir Majeed from their Quetta press club token hunger strike camp said that it was a shame that the so called International champions of human rights have succumbed to Pakistan’s pressure and have ignored the crime against humanity that Pakistan has committed in Baluchistan.

The mother of zakir Majeed Baluch said that “My son, who had appealed for the release of UN staff & American citizen Mr John Solecki on humanitarian grounds, is today suffering extreme torture at the hand of Pakistani security forces. Zakir Majeed as a student and political activist has played his role for the release of a US citizen and UN staff but it is a shame that the UN and the USA both are silent (they have not uttered a single word) against my son’s abduction. I think the UN (United Nations) only considers Americans and British as humans; thousands of Baluch who are being tortured, humiliated and even extra judicially killed by Pakistan Military intelligence and Intelligence agencies, the UN doesn’t consider them as human being”. She went on to say that John Solecki was released after his mother appealed for his safe release but she along with her family were on protest from past two month; nobody was noticing her protest and hearing the appeals of the Baluch people for help.

On the other hand sister of Zakir majeed Baluch feared that her bother might suffer the same fate (at the hands of the cruel Pakistani intelligence agencies) as Shaheed GM baluch, Lala Munir Baluch and Sher Mohammad Baluch; the Baluch Nation has not forgotten how these Baluch people activists were treated by Pakistani authorities.

She said Iqbal Baluch from Dazin area of Thump was missing from past 4 years; his mother passed away while looking her son’s way to return but the savage agencies of Pakistani even did not release Iqbal to see his mother for the last time. Similarly Zakir Majeed and several other Baluch have been forcefully disappeared from past many years and their families are suffering both physically and psychologically.
