People’s Liberation Army Claims Responsibility For Dashti’s Killing

Balochistan, QUETTA: A hitherto unknown group identifying itself as the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has accepted responsibility for the killing of former chairman of Baloch Students’ Organization (BSO) and ex-district nazim Kech District Maula Baksh Dashti.

According to the details, Mir Hybtan, a spokesman of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), an organization never known before, accepted responsibility for the killing of Maula Baksh Dashti, a former district nazim of Kech and a central leader of the National Party. The spokesman made this claim while making a phone call via a satellite phone to the local media.

The spokesman of the new (Baloch) group alleged that Maula Bux Dashti was working against Baluch National Struggle for Liberation and that he had committed crimes against Nation. Justifying his claims Mr Hybtaan Baloch said that Muala Bux Dashti 'as city Nazim' had invited Pakistani dictator Musharraf to Makuran and requested him to initiate a military operation there (in Makuran). Musharraf and Jam Yousaf's statement are still on record, he alleged.

He said that Shaheed Ghulam Mohammad Baluch's article "Saqoot-e-Bolan" published on Daily Intekhabs had thoroughly explained the bad characters of Maula Bux Dashti and many others like him. He further alleged that Mr Dashti had joined hands with ISI and MI and he was damaging Baloch cause intentionally.

Hybtaan Baloch warned that "All those people who are working for Pakistan through Parliamentarian politics must mince their ways and stop putting hurdles in the way of Baloch freedom struggle, because they are under the radar of PLA".

Dashti had been shot dead by unidentified attackers on his way to Turbat district on Sunday, an assault which also left two of his colleagues injured.

Dashti’s killing was responded with complete shutter down in major parts of Balochistan.

Senator Abdul Malik Baloch, the central president of the National Party, has strongly condemned the killing of Dashti and termed his killing a great loss to the party.
