QUETTA: Nawabzada Bramdagh Bugti’s Baloch Republican Party (BRP) has decided to withdraw from the pro-independence alliance of Baloch political parties called the Baloch National Front (BRP).
According to Sher Mohammad Bugti, a spokesman of the BRP the Front had confined its role to criticizing the Balochistan National Party rather than focusing on major issues facing the Baloch nation. Another reason cited by the spokesman for the sudden withdrawal was the lack of consultation among the member parties in the Front. The BRP said it had not been consulted in several major decisions in the past including the one which nominated Nawabzada Hairbayar Marri as the international representative of the Balocoh nation although the membership of BNF was held by BRP at that time.
“If BNP is more harmful to the Baloch cause than our real enemy then it should have been decided by mutual consultation by all member organs of BNP not by issuing statements in the media,” regretted the spokesman adding that all BRP leaders and activists should stop associating themselves with BNF as “BRP no longer has any connections with BNF.”
