6th International Conference Against Disappearances In United Kingdom

London: On 9-12 December 2010, International Committee against Disappearances is organising an international conference against disappearances around the world in London. In the conference we intend to bring together the relatives of the disappeared, organisations struggling against disappearances under custody and human rights violations from different countries of the world, unions, social movements, and intellectuals etc to share their pain, anger and experiences with each other. We believe that our conference will also provide an opportunity for all participants to discuss and build upon joint struggles.

This year’s conference against disappearances is being organised under the heading of “Wars, National Movements and Disappearances” and the following three subtitles:

1- Wars and Disappearances
2- National Movements and Disappearances
3- The struggle against human rights violations

We warmly invite you to participate in our conference and strengthen the struggle against disappearances under custody.

The address of the hall where the conference is going to take place is:

Kurdish Community Centre
Fairfax Hall, 11 Portland Gardens
London N4 1HU, UK

It is quite important in terms of translation that those who have prepared a speech or paper send these to us before the conference. Since the speaking time will be limited, it will be worth to translating the papers in advance so that the participants could get and read them before.
