QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Excise and Taxation and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Mir Muhammad Ameen Umrani alleged non-governmental organizations for lack of strategy on provision of relief to flood victims.
According to a statement issued on Monday, he said NGOs could not provide relief assistance to flood survivors properly due to lack of strategy and planning. He said the higher authorities had been apprised about delay in issuance of Watan Cards to the affectees.
He said NGOs were minting millions of dollars in the name of flood-hit people adding but they were not providing relief to the affected people in letter and spirit.
He said that some non-official institutions were providing seeds to the flood affected farmers which could not be cultivated for next time.
