Dozens of Baloch political leaders and cadres, young civilians, women and children have been killed in such security operations. Many of the circles consider the recent Turbat carnage, in which five Baloch young men killed, as the recurring sequence of the incidents. There is a huge gulf between Frontier Corps and local people’s views of causes of the happening. To the F.C, the incident occurred when the armed men opened fire on a team of FC; as a result, operations took place in retaliation. But the local people reputed the FC statements, saying that martyred youths were in their house when FC heavy contingent surrounded their house at late night 3am. Meanwhile, the local political leaders and social elders and Ayub Gichki, the owner of house and a BNP leader, whose two sons also killed in the army action, strived to contact the district administration to find out a peaceful solution to the matter. When the district administration contacted the FC for a legal and peaceful solution, it was altogether put down.
According to many notables, if the peace had been given a chance, the incident could have been averted. The killings have widened the level of hatred against the security forces and its agencies and resulted in infuriating Baloch people and subsequently protests erupted in entire Balochistan against this carnage. The show off of hatred can be judged in the protests and shutter down strikes across Baluchistan. According to the observers, the situation could be gravely lethal for the government, and if the recurring chain of such incidents is not stopped, the prospects of violence and insecurity will be widen and deepen further.
