Pakistani security forces, gas pipeline and Construction Company attacked in Balochistan

Occupied Balochistan: A Frontier Corps (FC) official was gunned down by unknown armed men in Mir Issa area of Tump, some 40 kilometres away from Turbat City, on Saturday. A Vehicle of FC was also blown up in Do Koh area of Tump Balochistan. OGDCL vehicle set on fire in Sohbatpur, Balochistan.

According to the levies official, A FC official identified as Mohammad Akram s/o Lal Mohammad, an accountant in FC Headquarter of Turbat, was sitting in Mir Issa area when some unknown masked men on a motorbike opened fire on him. Resultantly he died on the spot and the attackers managed to flee from the scene. The body was shifted to the District headquarter hospital Turbat for Autopsy.

Meanwhile, Frontier Corps vehicle escaped in a remote controlled blast in Do Koh area of Tump on Saturday, Levies force said. The vehicle was going to the Mand from Tump and just passed the area when a huge explosion took place. The personnel remained unhurt as blast took place some few minutes after the vehicle passed by. FC personnel launched a search in the area. Further investigations are underway.

Baloch Liberation Front claimed the responsibility for the attack near Thump. The spokesman Basham Baloch said freedom fighters from his Organisation blown the FC Vehicle in Dokoh area; four FC men died in the blast and two were seriously wounded. He further said that BLF Sarmachars have also attack and damaged the machinery of a construction company in Awaran region of Balochistan.

Separately, armed men set ablazed an official vehicle of OGDCL and abducted the driver in Sohbatpur area of District Nasirabad area of Balochistan. Security forces have started a search operation to rescue the abducted driver.

Meanwhile Sarbaz Baloch, a spokesperson of BRA, has claimed responsibility for different attack in Dera Bugti and other areas.

According dailytawar Newspaper Sarbaz Baloch called media men and informed them that fighter of BRA have blown up Gas pipelines in Kandh Caot’s Bakshapur area and Peer Koh region of Dera Bugti in two different attacks. He also claimed responsibility for burning the OGDCL Vehicle in Sohbatpur. Mr Baloch also claimed to have burnt a vehicle of Pakistani security forces. However, the spokesperson of FC (Frontier Constabulary) has said that there is no truth in such claims and no FC vehicle has been set on fire.

On Friday Saturday the Dailytimes has reported that “Unidentified people blew up a 16-inch diameter gas pipeline in Pir Koh area of Dera Bugti on Friday, suspending gas supply to the purification plant. A senior official of the Balochistan Levies, while confirming the incident said that an explosive device was planted on the gas pipeline, which was detonated. As a result, gas supply from well no 28 and 40 to the purification plant was suspended. Law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot soon after the explosion and cordoned of the area. A case has been registered against the unidentified terrorists and investigations are underway. No group had claimed responsibility for the attack until filing of this report”.

Earlier on Thursday two levies personnel were killed and another sustained injuries in an explosion in Matohra area of Mastung district, some 40 kilometres from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, on Thursday.

A levies official, Nazir Ahmad, confirmed that levies official the killed Levies officials on receiving information about the presence of rockets in Matohra area of tehsil Dhast rushed to the area. “As the personnel reached Matohra, a huge explosion took place. As result, two Levies personnel died on the spot while another one sustained injuries,” he said. The dead bodies and injured were taken to Sandeman Hospital, where the deceased were identified as Sher Ahmed and driver Muhammad Murad and injured as Constable Saeed Mohammad.

The official vehicle was also damaged in the explosion. Balochistan Levies force registered a case against unidentified persons and the investigation is underway.

Balochistan chief minister, Aslam Raisani, has condemned the incident and asked the concerned authorities to investigate the matter. He has also announced Rs 2 million for the each slain personnel as a monetary compensation.

Two hurt in Sui mine explosion

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Two persons were injured in a landmine blast in Sui area on Thursday. An official told APP that Mangla and Iqbal Khan were on their way home on a motorbike when their bike hit a landmine planted by unidentified persons in Jani Bairi area of Sui. Resultantly, they were injured and were shifted to PPL Hospital. Levies Force is investigating the incident.
