Baloch teacher abducted by Pakistan security forces at FC check post

Occupied Balochistan: The personal of Pakistan’s intelligence agencies have abducted a resident of New Kahan Quetta around 5 pm today (Thursday 09-06-2011). His family fears that he might be killed under-custody like thousands of other Baloch activists.

According to details teacher Abdul Rehman S/O Haji Baloch Khan Marri was going home by a Kirani-Quetta city route local bus. When the bus reached at Zafarabad FC check point the security forces have signaled it to stop; they asked all passengers to alight and handover their ID cards. After checking the ID of Abdul Rehman they arrested him. He was blind folded, beaten up and dragged to vehicle of intelligence agencies in front of all passengers.

The family of Abdul Rehman said that he is a teacher at New Kahan Quetta and has not been involved in any illegal activities. They urged the Balochistan High Court, Supreme Court of Pakistan and human rights organisations to take immediate notice of Baloch teacher’s abduction. The family feared that delayed intervention by courts will put his life in danger and he might be killed like thousands of other Baloch activist under-custody by Pakistani security forces.
