BOLAN: Two tankers carrying fuel for NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan were set on fire in Bolan district of Balochistan on Wednesday.
Official sources said that two Kandahar bound Nato tankers were passing from Dadar area of Bolan district, some 90 kilometer southeast of Quetta when unidentified armed men signalled the vehicles to stop and opened indiscriminate fire when the drivers did not stop them. Attackers later chased vehicles and disembarked drivers. They set vehicles on fire after sprinkling petrol on them. As a result, both vehicles caught fire and were gutted while thousands of liters fuel also destroyed. The attackers escaped from the site after committing the crime.
On getting information, local law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
A case has been registered against unidentified people and further investigations were underway.
