The outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility of the blast.
Separately, a patrolling team of the Frontier Corps (FC) escaped a remote controlled bomb attack in Panjgur. According to sources, unidentified men had planted an explosive device along the road near Paskool, a seasonal river in the Panjgur district, aiming to target an FC vehicle, which was on routine patrolling.
Soon after the incident, security personnel cordoned off the area and started a search operation in the area. During the search operation, the security personnel found another device planted in the same area and called in the Bomb Disposal Squad to deactivate the device.
