Two Pak govt officials among five shot dead in Balochistan

Five persons, including two government officials, were shot dead by gunmen in separate incidents in Balochistan province in southwest Pakistan on Monday, police said. A government official identified as Abdul Karim Dehwar was gunned down by unidentified men at Paringabad area of Mastung district.


Lalo Jan, an employee of the revenue department, died when gunmen shot him on the RCD highway in Mastung district.
The attackers in both incidents escaped after committing the crime.

In a separate incident, three persons were killed and as many others injured when a group of armed men opened fire at a group of workers hired by a private contractor to install power transmission lines at Mawand area in Kohlu district.

The gunmen escaped after the attack. Police cordoned off the area and launched a search for the killers.
