Separately, in Besima area of Balochistan unknown person set ablaze aTelephone Cabinet cude to which the Cabinet burnt to ashes and some other adjourning shops also under fire.
Two cops injured in grenade attack: Three persons, including two police constables, were injured in a hand grenade attack in the industrial township of Hub on Friday. According to Police, two assailants were on motorcycle hurled a hand grenade at Police post in Sakuran Road and fled. Grenade landed and exploded near the post injuring two police constables Mohammad Akram, Allah Dinna and a passer-by Jalil Ahmed.
Police personnel rushed to the spot soon after the incident and took the injured to nearby state-run hospital for treatment where the injured are stated to be stable condition and out of danger. Police threw a cordon in the area and mounted a manhunt for the arrest of culprits. A case has been registered against unknown persons in Sakuran Police Station. No one had claimed the responsibility till late in the night.
Landmine defused: Police on Saturday foiled an attempt of terror by defusing a landmine planted in Kharan area. Station House Officer Kharan, Gul Mohammad Baloch said that Police had information that some unknown men had laid landmine along the roadside in Kili Kaanari area, some 3 km from the city. The police team reached the site and defused the landmine after recovering it along the road. The police also seized two detonators and cable during the search operation. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
