The injured include five policemen and some passers-by, reported a Pakistani private TV Geo News. The injured have been shifted to Hospital. The doctors said several injured are in critical condition.

No group has immediately accepted the responsibility for the attack on police van. However, Most of the Baloch, especially the resistance Organisations, consider Pakistan army as occupiers and have been calling on Pakistan for the withdrawal of troops from Balochistan.

The attack came a day after Amnesty International called on Pakistan to investigate the alleged torture and killing of more than 40 Baluch political leaders and activists.

It warned that the rise in disappearances and bodies being dumped has aggravated political tensions and led to reprisal killings by Baluch groups.
