On 30th October in a press conference outside Quetta press Club, the sister of Faraz Baloch said that “The families fear that their loved ones might just be killed and dumped like hundreds of other Baloch activists who have recently been tortured to death by Pakistani security force while in their custody. Political analysts close to the Baloch independence movement have concluded that the Pakistani government has presented a pattern since the summer of 2010 of quid pro quo retaliation on attacks from Baloch fighters. They have observed that every action taken by the fighters is almost instantly answered by the execution of Baloch activists in custody only later to be found on the side of the road of different cities and townships in Balochistan.
Pakistan is repeatedly flaunting international laws and norms by using political and civic society activists as a fodder and pressure point to suppress the independence movement in Balochistan.
