, Baltimore Foreign Policy ExaminerOne of the two Baloch victims whose bulltet-riddled and tortured bodies were found Wednesday night in Balochistan's Winder area has left behind a pregnant wife, according to the victim's family member who lives in the United States.
Faraz Baloch, son of former provincial government official and pro-independence poet Ulfat Nasim, was abducted October 9 along with his friend Omid Baloch from Hub, Balochistan's lone industrial town bordering Pakistan's commercial capital Karachi.
“He was abducted by paramilitary personnel of the Frontier Corps who came in three vehicles along with police,” the victim's relative told this scribe Thursday on phone anonymously. “Many locals saw the abduction in broad daylight,” the relative said.
The victim's relative said the victim was married less than two years ago and had a pregnant wife. He said though the family is originally from Panjgur, they are now residing in Khuzdar.
The victim was a nephew of Jahanzeb Baloch, secretary general of the pro-democracy Balochistan National Party. The party is led by Baloch Nelson Mandela and former chief minister Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
