ack on Chinese engineers’ convoy: Five FC men killed, nine injured

Occupied Balochistan: At least five people, including three personnel of a law enforcement agency and two men of pro-government tribal peace force, have been killed and nine others injured in a remote controlled bomb blast in Jano Beri area of Dera Bugti district on Tuesday.

Official sources said that unknown men had planted a remote control bomb on the way leading to Kachhi Canal in Jano Beri area. They detonated it when Chinese engineers escorted by law enforcement personnel were on their way to Kachhi Canal. As a result of the explosion, five men LEA personnel were killed and nine others sustained wounds.

The injured were rushed to PPL Dera Bugti hospital where condition of some of them is stated to be dangerous. The Chinese engineers who were being taken to Kachhi Canal area for survey purpose remained safe.

BRA claim: Meanwhile Baloch Republican Army fighters while accepting the responsibility for the attack claimed to have killed 11 personnel of occupying forces and wounded more than 20 including Chinese engineers in different attacks in Dera Bugti on Tuesday.

According to a statement published on their official website the BRA said: “The first attack was conducted near "Kachi Canal" in Sui when fighters of Baloch Republican Army ambushed a convoy of Chinese engineers headed by armoured vehicles of occupying forces with remote controlled explosives devices.

“As a result of twice blasts, 2 vehicles of occupying forces were completely destroyed and 10 personnel were killed at the spot while more than 20 including several Chinese engineers were severly hurt in the attack.

“In a similar attack, BRA attacked a convoy of occupying forces in "BoRzain" area of Dera Bugti with a remote controlled device. The blast caused no damage to the forces but at least one personal was killed when BRA fighters opened fire afterwards.”
