The Baloch Hal NewsQUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani fired Balochistan National Party (BNP-Awami) leader and Provincial Minister for Environment Ghulam Jan Baloch from his cabinet on Saturday.
Official sources said that Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani took this decision on the request of parliamentary leader of BNP-Awami. The charge of vacant portfolio has been given to Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Mir Asghar Ali Rind who also belongs to BNP-Awami, they added.
While confirming the dismissal of Ghulam Jan, BNP-Awami’s parliamentary leader in provincial Assembly Syed Ehsan Shah said that a meeting of parliamentary party was held under his chairmanship which thoroughly discussed violation of party discipline by Ghulam Jan and it was jointly decided that latter should be ousted from the provincial cabinet. “Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani was requested for dismissal of Ghulam Jan from the cabinet,” he added.
However, the real motives of sacking of Ghulam Jan from provincial cabinet have not been surfaced so far but some inner circles of BNP Awami claimed that he had developed some differences with party Central Secretary General and Provincial Minister for Agriculture Asad Baloch.
They said that these differences led to ouster of Ghulam Jan from the cabinet who was for the first time elected in 2008 general elections as member of Balochistan Assembly from Panjgour district.
