News : BSO leader among three found dead in Balochistan

Occupied Balochistan: Three more decomposed and mutilated bodies, including that of a zonal organiser of the Baloch Students Organisation-Azad (BSO-A), were recovered from different parts of Balochistan on Sunday.

According to official sources, body of a missing student, Fareed Baloch, was found near a river in Ferozabad area of Khuzdar district and was shifted to the Khuzdar Civil Hospital for autopsy. Fareed was whisked away [by personnel of Pakistani security agencies] some 45 days ago from Quetta.

Hospital sources said that Fareed was shot in the head and his body also bore torture marks. The victim was a zonal organiser of the BSO-A.

nformation Secretary BSO-Azad Salam Sabir strongly condemned the killing of Fareed Baloch and other missing persons in the custody of government agencies and termed it genocide of unarmed Baloch civilians.

He alleged that by the killing of innocent political workers and throwing their mutilated bodies in desolated places government was trying to deviate Baloch people from their genuine struggle. He appealed humanitarian organizations of taking prompt notice of violation of human rights in Balochistan and stop killing of political workers.

Another body was recovered from Saryab area of Quetta and was shifted to the Bolan Medical Teaching Hospital for postmortem. However, identity of the victim, who was shot in the head by unidentified killers, could not be ascertained.

Separately, the Balochistan Levies recovered a bullet-riddled body from Awaran district. The victim was later identified as Saleh Muhammad, a resident of Quetta. A few days ago, Saleh was abducted by unidentified abductors while travelling in a passenger van near Breith area. The body was handed over to the heirs after necessary medico-legal formalities. Levies forces have launched an investigation into the murder.

Meanwhile Nasrullah Baloch President Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) told the Balochhal that 121 Baloch missing persons and political workers had been killed during past eight months. He said that mostly victims were hit with bullets in their heads and chests and were tortured before being killed.

He alleged that owing to pressure of government agencies relatives of missing persons avoid get registered FIR and record their protest against abduction of their beloveds ones. “Killing of missing persons is rising with the passage of time while government has kept complete mum over these killings”.

Nevertheless, a complete shutter-down strike was observed in several areas of Balochistan to protest against what the “an involuntary accession of Balochistan to Pakistan”. The strike call was given by the Baloch National Front.

The call received a good response in Turbat, Hub, Mand, Hoshap, Khuzdar, Naushki, Chagai, Kharan and Washuk areas, where business and trade activities remained paralysed on Sunday.
