PASNI: At least ten persons, including five school boys and two personnel of Coast Guards, have been injured in a remote control blast in the coastal township of Pasni on Tuesday.
According to reports reaching here, unknown persons planted a remote control device in Ward No.6 area of Pasni and detonated it with remote control when a school van passed through the area. As result of blast van damaged and dashed into the nearby residence.
Resultantly, five children, two personnel of Coast guards suffered splinter injures while three persons, including a woman, who was inside the house suffered injuries as their roof of the house collapsed after it was crashed by van.
Police personnel rushed to spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area. The injured were taken to government run hospital for treatment where they have been identified as driver Noor Alam, school boys Ashen, Shehzad, Majid Majeed, Imran Saeed, Wahab Mohammad Jan, Hajra Bibi and Zainab. Three of the injured stated to be in critical condition.
A case has been registered in Pasni Police Station and investigations were underway.
“There target was Pakistan Coast Guard van and local police have launched a manhunt in the area,” a senior police officer said.
Chief Minister of Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani has strongly condemned the attack on School van and asked that authorities concerned to arrest to culprits who he says involved in this heinous crime.
“Those who target innocent children should not be called human being,” said Raisani.
