The Baloch Hal News

PISHIN: At least five children suffering from gastroenteritis have lost their lives in Pishin district and 200 others had been admitted in the district hospital for urgent medical relief.

Deputy District Health Officer, Ubaidullah Nashnas, has confirmed the death of five children in Pishin. The diseased have been identified as Asghar Khan, Sardar Mohammad, Naik Mohammad, Zahoor Ahmed, Qurban Fateh and Khadija.

He said that 200 people had been admitted in government-run hospital and are being treated. It was breakout in the Killi Kamalzai area of Pishin district.

It may mention that Pishin was among those districts which had not affected by flash floods.

According to official sources, the affected children drank highly polluted water due to which they suffered gastroenteritis and lost their lives.

Taking to Balochistan Express Director General Health, Amanullah Kakar has said that a team of doctors had been sent to the area Wednesday morning.

“A medical camp was also set up in Pishin where doctors are overseeing the patients,” he added.

DG Health claimed that situation is under control across the affected area where he says doctors are providing medical aid to affected people in medical camps. However, one separate case has been found in Sibi where a man identified as Wahed Ahmed has lost his life after suffering from waterborne disease.

“We have sufficient medicines but I can not rule out outbreak of epidemics because a large number of people have been affected and victims are coming from other province as well,” Amanullah said.
