QUETTA: More than a dozen villages have been inundated in Nasirabad district of Balochistan by flood water of Sindh and Kohlu district that entered in Pat Feeder and Rabi Canals on Friday while causing damages to the roads and railway track.
According to reports, following the torrential rains in Sindh and Kohlu district of Balochistan, flood water entered in Pet Feeder and Rabi canals which started over swelling. Due to the breach in canals more than a dozen of villages in Tehsil Tambu have been were washed away compelling dwellers to move towards safer places.
Sources said that the flood has caused damages to roads connecting Nasirabad with other parts of the country and railway truck while Uch power plant near Dera Murad Jamali was under threat because of heavy flood.
In the meanwhile, growers’ association of Nasirabad staged a protest demonstration and alleged that in order to protect Uch power plant, district administration made breaches in Rabi canal from its outer side which could cause damages to the people and their crops.
