ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has granted bail to opposition member in Balochistan Assembly Yar Muhammad Rind in matter of his alleged involvement in attack on chief minister Balochistan.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Javed Iqbal took up the bail application for hearing Monday.
Justice (Retd) Tariq appeared on behalf of the applicant. He informed the court that his client was implicated in false case, therefore, he be granted bail. The court while agreeing to his stance granted bail and sent the case to Balochistan High Court (BHC).
Yar Mohammad Rind told the court he was facing life threat, therefore, he be exempted from attendance in the court. Court granted his plea and directed BHC to dispose of the case within four weeks.
Talking to media men after hearing of case, Yar Muhammad Rind said he was being involved in false case and conspiracy was being hatched to kill him. If any harm is caused to him then provincial government and chief minister Balochistan would be responsible, he underlined.
