Abducted judges recovered from Balochistan's Jhal Magsi area after 10 days

Two judges, who were abducted in Jaffarabad district of Balochistan on February 27, have been recovered from Jhal Magsi area in the province.

Sibi District and Sessions Judge Jan Mohammad Gohar Yasinzai and Civil Judge Mohammad Ali Kakar were going to Usta Mohammad in a private car to attend a wedding when a group of armed men had intercepted and whisked them away.

Both judges were rescued in a joint police operation carried out by Naseerabad and Jafferabad police in Balochistan's Jhal Magsi area, Geo News reports.

Jaffarabad District Police Officer (DPO) Javaid Gharsheen told the media persons that the rescue of kidnapped judges became possible after a tip-off received by the police that the duo were being held hostage in a village in Jhal Magsi.

He said that the abductors managed to flee the crime scene, and the judges were later escorted to the Commissioner Office in Dera Muraad Jamali.

Both judges are in the police protection, and Balochistan High Court Chief Justice, Qazi Faiz Essa, has been informed about their recovery. (ANI)
