Raisani Demands Recovery of Missing Persons

QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani has asked the federal government to take immediate measure for early recovery of the Baloch missing persons who have not been resurfaced in spite of repeated promises by Islamabad.

He was talking to Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik via phone and apprised him about the concerns of families of missing persons’ and also discussed about the law and order situation in Balochistan.

“If any one was picked up owing to his involvement in any offence then he must be produce in courts within 24 hours,” he told the Federal Minister. He said that such acts are creating differences between the government and people of Balochistan.

He said that people are consistently listed missing which has caused great concerns to the government and people of this province.

Earlier, Provincial Minister Agriculture, Asad Baloch called on Chief Minister at CM Secretariat and he informed the deteriorating law and order situation in his constituency in Panjgur district. Minister said that the cases of missing persons were increasing in Panjgur which was damaging the interest of government and also the reconciliation process.

“If immediate steps were not taken then situation would go out of control,” Asad Baloch said.

Chief Minister assured the minister that he would take up the issue with Federal Interior Minister.

“I have also discussed the issue of missing persons with President, Primer and Chief of Army Staff in my recent visit in Islamabad,” he added.
