UN and International Community must declare Balochistan as an occupied territory: Hyrbyair Marri

Note: Most of the Urdu newspapers wrongfully quoted Hyrbyair Marri saying that he wanted South Sudan type referendum in Balochistan. Talking to BalochWarna Mr Marri categorically rejected these claims saying that “I am totally against referendum and I call for unconditional pull out of occupying troop from Balochistan.

Baloch leader congratulate South Sudanese people on their Independence. South Sudan’s declaration of Independence determines that Nations cannot be forced at gun point to live under slavery. If North's indiscrimination and exploitation has result in the birth of new state then no one should be a hurdle in way of Balochistan’s National Liberation. London: Baloch patriot leader Hyrbyair Marri while congratulating South Sudan on their Independence said that North’s indiscrimination and exploitations has pave the way for South Sudan to become an Independent state. The freedom of South Sudan is the result of the Sudanese Nation’s hard work. S – Sudan’s liberation made it clear that no nation can be kept under occupation for long at gun point. The accesses of North have forced the South Sudan to demand for freedom and they were given the opportunity to decide for their future through a National referendum, 95% of South Sudanese people voted in favour of Independence. Hence South Sudan has emerged as a sovereign Nation on world map today, which proves that sacrifices will never go in vain.

The freedom of South Sudan is certainly an encouragement for all other occupied and oppressed nations’, including the Baloch peole, who are struggling for their liberation. The liberation of South Sudan will boot the moral of Baloch people to intensify their liberation movement. “However, I don’t mean to say if S – Sudan had not become independence the Baloch would not intensify their struggle for freedom. We have entered 21st Century which the era of liberty; no nations can be enslaved any longer. Baloch Nation is also among the league of Nations that are struggling to appear on the world map as Independent states. It is because of the sacrifices of Baloch Martyrs and brave sons that Balochistan issue has become an International issue.

On the occasion of South Sudan Independence I want to tell the International Community if South Sudan which was a part of North Sudan can become free nation because of North’s indiscrimination and exploitation, then there should be hurdles in the way of Balochistan’s freedom because historically Balochistan is not a part of Pakistan. The Baloch geography, culture, language, and traditions are totally different from Pakistan. We have never shared Pakistan’s happinesses and sorrows neither is it possible in future. The world should stop ignoring the Baloch war against Pakistan.

Pakistan with the help of its British Master snatched the freedom of Balochistan, enslaved the Baloch people and colonised the Baloch land. From past six decades the Baloch have been giving physical and material sacrifices to get rid of illegal occupation of their land. God Willing! The day is not far when Baloch get their freedom and celebrate the victory.

Hyrbyair Marri has urged the International Community, European Union and the United Nations to morally support the Baloch Independence movement and declare Balochistan as an occupied territory.
