Press Release: Baloch and Sindhi activists protested in front of US Embassy in the UK

London: The Baloch and Sindhi activists residing in the United Kingdom have gathered in front of the Embassy of United States of America to protest against Pakistani state terrorism in Balochistan and urged the International Community to intervene in Balochistan.

The Baloch Human Rights Council [BHRC- UK], World Sindhi Congress (WSC) and Balochistan Liberation Organization (BLO) had given the call for protest which was attended by a large number of Baloch and Sindhi activists. Patriot Baloch leader Hyrbyair Marri was also present at the protest.

According to a press release issued of Samad Baluch of BHRC “The protest was aimed to draw the attention of the international community in general and the US government in particular towards the crimes against humanity being committed by Pakistan in Balochistan”.

The Baloch and Sindhi speakers highlighted various brutal acts of the Pakistan army, intelligence agencies and their proxy death squads which included kidnapping, inhuman torture and extrajudicial murder of the Baloch intellectuals, students, doctors, engineers and political activists. Speakers expressed their solidarity with families affected by the inhuman actions of the Pakistani army in Sindh and Balochistan. They condemn the ongoing Pakistani state terrorism in Balochistan since its illegal forcible annexation and requested the US for immediate intervention in order to save the Baloch from the systematic genocide. They demanded immediate stoppage of every kind of aid to Pakistan from the US and its allies as it is being used to crush the Baloch and Sindhi national resistance against subjugation and exploitation.

Speakers included Abdullah Baloch, Jamshed Amiri, Qadir Jatoi, Faiz Baluch, Mehrab Sarjoi, Zahed Baloch, Mansoor Baloch, Rahim Bandovi, Dr. Lakhu Luhana and Samad Baloch.

The leaders of World Sindhi Congress said that the Sindhis are also struggling for their freedom and wanted to get rid of Punjab’s hegemony over their land (Sindh). Despite reports issued by International Human Rights Organisation such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and HRCP the International democracies have failed to take notice of Pakistan’s atrocities against people of Sindh and Balochistan, said Dr Lakhu Luhana.

Mr Mehrab Sarjou said that “Pakistan has been terrorizing Baloch people for more than half century no single day goes by without recovery of a dead body of a Baloch from roadside, mountain or wasteland. Pakistan has been the leading state on promoting universal Jihad against Jews, Christian and Hindu. In the Islamic republic of Pakistan human life and individual dignity has no value. They have violated individual dignity, they have removed state protection from an individual Baluch as well as they violated an individual right to life”.

He went on to say that “Pakistan is supplying the manpower and military and logistic support to Jihadi groups who are willing to fight American and British in Afghanistan. Every terrorist crime in Europe and the United States has been planned in Pakistan. We believe without active support of Pakistan and Iran terrorist could not flourished. The United States and European states have been financing the artificial state that is prolonging our peoples’ suffering. The united states has financed Pakistan army in return Pakistan army trained the Taliban who are killing American and British soldiers and terrorizing the Afghan and killing the Baluch.

In his concluding remarks he said that “We are asking the United States to stop financing the terrorist outfit Pakistan and declare the Pakistan army as a terrorist organization. Pakistan has taken the world hostage for the sake of the world security and regional stability let together correct the historical wrong doing and remove the threats of fundamentalist from the world and region forever.

American should know that by now Pakistan problem cannot be fixed because Pakistan Jihadi quest is not wealth creation but the destruction of democracy and human values”.

Faiz Baluch, a founding member of International Voice for Baloch Missing persons, said that the current Baloch struggle for complete Independence and it is in accordance with International Laws. He urged the Baloch and Sindhi activists not to shy away from spelling out the word freedom or National Liberation – these are International terminologies guaranteed by Universal declaration of Human Rights (that all people are born free and have the right to choose their own fate). He said the Baloch struggle will continue until the liberation of Balochistan. “Our purpose to gather here today is to urge International Community in particular the United States of America and the United Kingdom to stop supporting the terrorist states of Pakistan and Iran because these states are supporting the Jihadi monsters that are hell bent to destroy world peace, including US and UK”.

Expressing his displeasure for carrying the British and United States flags by some protesters, Faiz Baluch said that we should not try to make ourselves look like British or American stooges. Yes, we want their support but on mutual understanding and on the basis of equality. We want them to intervene in Balochistan in the similar fashion they intervened in Libya and other Arab Country which has been engulfed by the recent Arab awareness. Carrying their flags and trying to please them doesn’t solve Balochistan’s problem. “We the Baloch want the government of UK and USA to stop colluding with Pakistan government and ask Pakistan to provide an explanation of the material and financial support that it get from the US; because the weapons and other support that Pakistan gets from US in the name of Taliban and other Islamic extremists are being used against innocent, unarmed and secular people of Balochistan and Sindh”.

According Samad Baluch’s press release “A letter will be sent to President Obama urging him for immediate action against Pakistani military establishment and urging him to use the US influence for the trial of Pakistani military officials in the International Criminal Court for the crimes committed against humanity in Balochistan”.
