BNP-Mengal activists stage a demonstration in front of Quetta Press Club to protest against Baloch killings.
QUETTA: Activists of Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) staged demonstrations in Quetta, Naushki and several other parts of Balochistan on Monday to protest against killing and dumping of Baloch missing persons and recent killings of Balochs in Karachi.
Dozens of party activists staged a demonstration in front of Quetta Press Club, carrying placards inscribed with demands to end killing of Baloch missing persons. The activists raised slogans against the government and security forces.
Agha Hassan Baloch Advocate, secretary information BNP-Mengal, addressed the gathering and paid tribute to Baloch activists killed in recent months. “Presenting us with bullet-riddled bodies will not weaken our resolve for Baloch rights,” Hassan said. Citing recent killings of party leaders and workers, Hassan said thatBNP-Mengal was being pushed to the wall   but he said these tactics would not deter their party from raising Balochistan issue.
On Friday, bullet-ridden body of BNP-M leader, Nabi Bakhsh Bangulzai, had been found along with two other party workers in Balochistan’s industrial town of Hub in district Lasbella who had gone missing some days earlier.
Party leaders Ghulam Nabi Marri and Mir Ghulam Rasool Mengal also spoke on the occasion and alleged  personnel of security forces and intelligence agencies of whisking away Bangulzai and two of his friends on August 11 and subsequently throwing their bodies.
The speakers condemned killings of Balochs in Karachi in the recent wave oftargeted killings in the city that has left more than 91 people dead so far in the past one week. They also condemned security forces’ raids on the residences of Nawabzada Jamil Bugti and former chief minister of Balochistan Mir Humayun Marri.
