US, UK meddling in Pakistan

Lt Col Zaheerul Hassan

In the first week of August 2011, US Ambassador Cameron Munter talking to media stated that they have an eye on Pakistan particularly Balochistan since the province is strategically very important to US. He also said that they will help Balochistan in energy and water projects. Astonishingly, in the same timeframe International Human Rights Commission provided inclination support to US while showing sympathies and alleging Pakistani security agencies for missing of people. Unfortunately, some of the local electronic media group has also joined hands of “US unholy alliance” for fueling the already deteriorated security and political situation of the country. One of the participants (Asma Jahangir) of a talk show was found to be very vocal and aggressive while criticizing vital Pakistani organs i.e. ISI and Army. After 9/11, US, UK, Israel and India havecovertly made an alliance to look after their strategic gains in Asia. In this connection, the intelligence agencies of US alliance have also cultivated their agents under the garb of NGOs in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and China. These agents are active in gathering intelligence, creating instability, anarchy and terrorism in Pakistan and China. On August 12, 2011, Rehman Malik, Interior Minister, talking to the media, confirmed that foreign hands are involved in the unrest of Balochistan. He also claimed that he has the names and telephone numbers of those locals who get instructions from abroad for creating anarchy in Balochistan. The blast at Allahyar (Jafarabda) on Independence Day further confirms the ill-motive of foreign agenda. Foreign intelligentsia has selected Balochistan, FATA, Karachi and Gilgit as their targets of interest to foster already deteriorating security situation of Pakistan. Interestingly, the British High Commissioner, Adam Thomson, has also offered his services to Pakistani government for resolving Karachi issue. In this connection he recently met Governor of Sindh and offered his services in restoration of peace in Karachi. Thus, the sudden increase in American and UK interest, offering their help to develop Balochistan and to pay role in settlement of Karachi situation depicts that there is some plan under way of implementation. Apparently it seems that foreign intelligence agencies (CIA, RAW, Mossad, MI6 and NDS (the National Directorate for Security, Afghanistan’s spy agency) have earmarked their area of operations along Pakistani western border. MI6 and RAW while taking some of political leaders on board have to function in Karachi. CIA, RAW and Mossad have been tasked to operate in Balochistan and along Pak-China border. Reportedly that CIA, RAW, and Mossad have planned some joint ventures in China. The purpose of this joint venture is to create unrest in China and also disrupt strong Pak-China ties. Recently 20 people, including alleged militants, were killed in violent incidents in Xinjiang. On July 30 and 31 this year, 14 people were killed and 42 injured in two separate incidents in the Chinese city of Kashgar. At start of the month of August, security forces blanketed central areas of Kashgar, days after violence which resulted into ethnic tensions in the Muslim Uighur area where Uighurs in Xinjiang —- the largely populated Muslim province, stormed a restaurant, killed the owner and a waiter and murdered four people in a street. Pakistan has strongly condemned the violence and assured China that actions against ETIM would be supported. At the same time, MI-6 and RAW are supporting local terrorism in Karachi. UK has provided political asylum to many criminal Pakistanis. It is also added here that number of senior media anchors have been seen visiting US, UK and Indian embassies. Probably they get the dictation and instructions for fomenting of foreign propaganda through their talk shows. In this connection, I will say that Pakistani foreign office should take the notice and must direct foreign missions to refrain from meetingPakistani nationals. On August 3, 2011, the United Kingdom Under-Secretary Foreign Affairs Alistair Burt telephoned Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad and discussed the law and order situation in Karachi. The present political situation of Pakistan and of Karachi, in particular, also came under discussion between the two. Burt lauded the efforts of MQM chief Altaf Hussain in the restoration of peace in the metropolis. He gave an assurance that UK was ready to help Pakistan in any way to achieve political stability and for the restoration of peace in Karachi. The situation in financial capital of Pakistan is becoming worst day by day because it is directly related to security situation in Balochistan and FATA. On Sunday (August 8, 2011) one Police inspector along with four subordinates were murdered by unknown terrorists. It is crystal clear that terrorists have been trained in Afghanistan by Indian agents and RAW and MI-6 does support them in creating unrest and fomenting terrorism in Balochistan. According to a local newspaper, the human intelligence gathered by the men of Sarwan region of Balochistan and the Frontier Corps has directly linked the planning of Mir Akmal Raisani’s assassination on July 31 to Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). The planning was executed by the hired assassins financed by Dr Allah Nazar, a former student leader of Panjgur.“The RAW area chief hires men from Balochistan at much higher bounty for high value targets”, officials said. “The RAW planners fix rates between the range of Rs 50,000 to Rs 10 million for attacking electric pylons, gas pipelines, official buildings and high profile personalities. Money is transacted to the Balochistan Liberation Front in Quetta or some other parts of the province by handlers”, they added. Earlier this year, some men had ambushed the CM’s caravan in Mastung. They had also attacked Governor Nawab Zulfikar Magsi’s official car. Those men live no more as the score was settled as per Balochistan’s tribal traditions. Anyhow a large number of people have been killed and abducted in the name of Baloch liberation. According to the local sources, the mysterious kidnapping and killing of three Baloch nationalist leaders Ghulam Muhammad, Chairman BNM, Lala Munir, District President BNM Panjgoor and Sher Muhammad Baloch, General Secretary of BRP at Turbat on 9th April 2009 was carried out by RAW because of their personal enmities. It is a well established fact that BLA is the creation of Indian intelligence agencies, which are trying to create instability in the areas bordering Iran and Afghanistan. The chief of the Baloch Republican Party (BRP), Brahmdagh Bugti, has become the chief protagonist. Baloch Republican Party (BRP) is another RAW sponsored terror outfit that kills the innocent and murders women and children. Brahmdagh is one of the most prominent faces of the ongoing Baloch insurgency sponsored by Delhi. Mr. Bugti is the grandson of Baloch politician Akbar Khan Bugti, a former chief minister and governor of Balochistan, who was killed during a military operation on August 26, 2006. While another of Nawab Bugti’s grandsons, Mir Aali Bugti, has been nominated as the sardar of the Bugti tribe, Brahmdagh has reportedly taken command of separatist Baloch fighters. The Pakistani government has blamed India for supporting the 28-year-old guerilla commander through Afghanistan, where he is currently residing.Concluding, I must say that American and Indian dream of capturing the region will not be fulfilled because Pakistan, China, Russia, Iran, and Central Asian States are well aware of their hegemonic designs but there is a definite need of taking proactive measures against that malicious plan of New Delhi. Islamabad should ask Washington and UK to stop interfering in our internal affairs. Simultaneously, the government should take all patriotic sardars on board and rush down for the speedy development of the largest province of Pakistan. Moreover, the steps taken for the welfare of Baloch nation by Pak army should be communicated through electronic and print media for the consumption of general masses.
