Occupied Balochistan: The Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), an underground Baloch Organisation fighting for the freedom of Balochistan, has refuted the allegations by BBC Urdu about alleged threats issued to Ayub Tareen, its correspondent based in Baloch capital, Quetta. A BLF spokesman Basham Baloch said his organization had not threatened any journalist because it believed in the full freedom of speech and independence of the media. “We do not indulge in actions that undermine our progressive and enlightened movement,” said the BLF spokesman while talking to reporters via satellite phone from an unknown location. He requested the media to not publish unauthorized news against BLF. Mr. Basham Baloch said “We expect the journalist/media to expose the state terrorism against Baloch people to the world”. He further said that media should without any pressure express their views on actions of Baloch freedom fighters against the agents of the state. “The main aim of our struggle justice and freedom, our fight is not against any department or Nation and we fighting for freedom of Balochstan in accordance to International war laws. Hence, the media should report on state terrorism against Baloch people and bring the plight of Balochs to the attention of world”, said Mr. Baloch. |
