The fallen Heroes of Baluchistan day Held in London, another group is 'Remembering the Martyrs' on 17 July

A public gathering to pay tribute to the fallen Heroes of Baluchistan was held on Sunday, 10 July in London. It was organised by various organisation including pro independent ‘Baluchistan National Movement’ and ‘Baluchistan Liberation Organisation’. Baluchistan Human Rights Council -UK was also supporting the gathering.

The proceedings were chaired by a photo of Baluchi scholar, writer and researcher Saba Dashtyari. Saba was gunned down in broad day light in Quetta, near an army check-post, while going home after work on 1st June 2011. Like many other heroes who fell victims of Pakistani government’s kill and dump policies, Saba also was critical of in-custody killings of Baluch activists who sought liberation of Baluchistan.

Speakers paid rich tribute to the ultimate sacrifices of the heroes of Baluchistan who had given their lives for a bright future for the Baluch and Baluchistan. They condemned Iranian & Pakistani atrocities against the Baluch and the crimes against humanity committed in Baluchistan by both rouge fundamental religious sates.

Speakers highlighted the recent worsening human rights situation in Baluchistan and stressed the Baluch leadership for forging a broader Baluch Unity in order to engage the enemy in a meaningful way. Speakers included Jamshed Amiri, Mansoor Baluch, Waleed Garboni, Rahim Bandovi, Shahab Rockny, Ismael Amiri, Dr. Abdul Doshoki and Mir Ghulam Hussain

A separate group which withdrew from supporting 10 July gathering because of its differences with Baluchistan Human Rights Council –UK, has planned its own remembrance day on 17 July. ‘The International Voice for Missing Baluch Persons’ in a communiqué has requested all supporters and sympathisers to attend the remembrance; detailed bellow.
