KALAT: A former Union Council Nazim was kidnapped by unidentified persons on Thursday on the National Highway while returning from Quetta at Surab, officials said.
According to the details, Mir Noor Hussain Mengal, former nazim of union council Toba Gidar, was abducted by armed men on his way home. The kidnappers disembarked him from a van on which he was traveling and took him away to an unknown place.
Local authorities started the search for the missing union nazim. Causes of the kidnapping could not be asertained nor has any group accepted responsibility for the abduction.
