QUETTA: Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has denied that the Iranian extremist organisation Jundallah is operating from Balochistan and said the group exists in the Iranian province of Sistan-Baluchestan.
Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, the chief minister said there have been no reports about Jundallah's leadership being in the province, adding that action would be taken if the government found any evidence about their presence.
He condemned the suicide attack in Iran in which 42 people, including some senior security officials, were killed.
Iranian government alleged that the suicide bombers had come from Pakistan and that the Jundallah leadership was based in Pakistan. Pakistan has rejected the claim.
Pakistan handed over to Iran last year 18 wanted persons, including a brother of Jundallah's chief Abdul Malik Raki, who were involved in the kidnapping of 17 Iranian port workers.
The workers were freed by Pakistani security forces after a gunbattle with the kidnappers.
