Two More Baloch Activists Killed And Dumped In Khuzdar, Uthal

QUETTA: Two more bullet- riddled bodies of Baloch missing persons, including a worker of Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal), have been recovered from Khuzdar and Uthal areas of Balochistan on Monday.

According to sources, police recovered a dead body lying at Abdul Rehman Complex within the limits of City police station Khuzdar and moved it to hospital for autopsy where he was identified as Saeed Ahmed Mengal, a resident of Khuzdar and worker of BNP.

“The victim was shot in the head and chest while torture marks on the body suggest that the victim was tortured before the killing,” hospital sources said.

The BNP has announced ten days of mourning across the province against the killing of Saeed Ahmed and other missing persons.

“We strongly condemn the unending series of killing of political workers by government agencies,” Agha Hassan Advocate, Information Secretary BNP, alleged and adding that Saeed Mengal had been kidnapped about 5 months ago and now his mutilated body was recovered.

He said that BNP would observe a “black day” across Balochistan on February 25, against killing of Baloch political workers, missing persons and alleged military operation in Balochistan. “We appeal humanitarian organizations to take notice of violation of human rights in Balochistan,” he added.

Separately, another body having bullet wounds was found in Uthal area of Lasbela district.

According to the Uthal police, a passerby spotted the body on RCD Highway at Zero Point and informed the police. The body was taken to hospital for autopsy, where the victim was identified as Harzi Khan Marri. He was hit by bullet in head and chest which caused his instant death, sources said.

Police later handed over the body to heirs for burial and started further investigations into the incident.

Harzi Khan Marri was abducted from Hub area along with his cousin Suhbat Khan Marri about six months back while the bullet riddled of body of Subhat Khan Marri was recovered on December last year from Dasht, near Quetta.

A Balochistan minister recently said as many as three hundred and sixty Baloch political workers had been killed by the government intelligence agencies in Balochistan in the recent times because of their dissenting political views.
