QUETTA: A complete shutter-down strike was observed in Baloch-dominated districts in Balochistan on Friday condemning the extra-judicial killings and recovery of bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch political opponents. The strike call was given by the Balochistan National Party (BNP), which enjoyed complete support of traders and people from other segments of the society. The strike was observed in Khuzdar, Zhari Mashkay, Awaran, Naal, Surab, Wadh and other townships of the province, bringing business and trade activities to a halt for the day. All the roads and streets wore a deserted look with very little traffic on the roads. Most of the shops and trading centres, banks, medical stores and even restaurants remained closed for the day, which caused immense trouble to people. staff report
