QUETTA:

Three more bodies were found in Balochistan on Monday, two from the outskirts of Quetta and one from Khuzdar, in what appear to be unrelated incidents.

Two people were found dead near Zarrgau, in the suburbs of Quetta on Monday. According to officials, people spotted the bodies near Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) camp and informed the police. The recoveries indicate a worsening security situation of the region, after multiple blasts in the province on Independence Day.

The identities of the dead were determined through name slips, recovered from their clothes. They were identified as Abdul Hameed, son of Noor Muhammad and Athar Gul, son of Khan Mohammad.

According to police officials, both of them were killed by the banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) group. However, no group has claimed responsibility for the killings so far.

“We do not have complete details as to when they were kidnapped. However, it seems that the victims belonged to Sindh province,” a local official, Mohamamd Amin, told The Express Tribune.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Levies also recovered a body in Loop area of Tehsil Wadh, district of Khuzdar, on Monday.

The body was identified as Abdul Karim, son of Noor Ahmed, resident of Wadh. Sources asserted that he had been slaughtered on the basis of old enmity. The body was handed over to family after legal formalities.
