Quetta: Balochistan’s lawyers (Baloch Bar Association) have made it clear that they have nothing to do with Pakistan Supreme Court Bar Association’s protest call. They said that they do not want to be part a Supreme Court team that has never raised voice against the atrocities against the people of Balochistan. They said those Baloch Lawyers who are members of Supreme Court Bar Association should wake up and pay attention to the problems of Balochistan, instead of protesting for the Supreme Court Bar that has never raised the issue of Baloch people. “The Baloch Lawyers were at the forefront in protests/movement for the restoration of Chief Justice but as soon as he gain he freedom, he ignored the Balochistan issue”, the Baloch lawyers complained.
The Pakistani judges have never taken notice of the “genocide” of Baloch people and neither have they ever taken any action against the target killings and abductions of Baloch leaders, complained the Baloch lawyers. They said that Baloch National Identity, language and culture cannot be destroyed by such biased action. The Baloch Lawyers said they wanted to make it clear to the Supreme Court and Balochistan High Court that they will not take part in any protest of Supreme Court Bar Association in future. As Baloch [Lawyers] they will continue to struggle for the betterment of people of Balochistan, and will not hesitate from any kind of sacrifice in this regard.
