BUJ for immediate, safe recovery of kidnapped newsman, DailyTawar Office raided Pakistan's dirty war against Baloch people: Four female teachers injured in acid attack

Occupied Balochistan: Balochistan Union of Journalists has condemned the whisking away of the Sub editor of Daily Tawar and demanded his immediate and save recovery. A BUJ statement has said that the different organizations and state agencies are working against the Journalists, which is creating problems for them in their duties. As many as 13 journalists were shot dead in cold blood in Balochistan and others are facing threat, that they will be killed like others.

The government is still not in position to investigate the killing of the journalists and receiving threats pressure groups. The Sub editor of daily Tawar Naseer Rind was kidnapped in industrial township of Hub when he was going to Lasbela in his home town from Karachi on last Sunday. The relatives of victim don’t have any information about him where is he. The Union has demanded from the Balochistan Government for immediate and save recovery of the sub editor.

We would also like to bring it to the notice of Reporters without Borders and other International Media Organisations that are striving for the freedom of Press and freedom of expression that Pakistani Intelligence agencies have raided the office of Daily Tawar on Thursday presumably to arrest its editor and other staff. Since the old office had been moved to a new location that’s why nobody was arrested immediately. However, it has become obvious that the state intelligence agencies are perusing the people associated with Daily Tawar.

BalochWarna urges International Media and Rights Groups to raise their voice to save Daily Tawar Newspaper and its staff from being eliminated by Pakistani security forces. Daily Tawar, Daily Voice, is the only Balochistan based News Paper that has been reporting the ground realities about Balochistan’s situation. Shutting down Daily Tawar would mean suppressing the voice of the voiceless people of Balochistan.
