Americans Disapprove of Obama’s Handling of Iran, Syria

BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff - A new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that Americans have a negative view of Obama’s handling of Iran and Syria.

The poll found that just four in 10 Americans approve of Obama’s diplomatic efforts in Iran. The Obama administration and Iran recently signed a nuclear deal that many experts are saying will do little to prevent Iran from building a nuclear weapon.

Additionally, only one-third of Americans approve of the president’s handling of the Syria conflict.

CNN released a report last week containing evidence of war crimes committed by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The Syrian civil war, which began in early 2011, has claimed the lives of at least 100,000. President Barack Obama waited until late September 2013 to intervene in the conflict when he brokered a deal with Russia that required Syria to give up its chemical weapons.
