Pakistan’s crafty politics of supporting regional terrorism
about 3 hours ago
By Shahdad Baloch
On April 4, Afghan intelligence agency has foiled a suicide plotted by Haqqani Network and arrested the suspected attacker. The Afghan intelligence agency NDS then aired the details of the plot and said that the probable target was district police commandment of Jani Khel, Afghanistan. According to Afghan officials, the name of the suicide bomber is Mohammad Yasin who was trained on the other side of the Durand line, by the Haqqani Network to carry out a suicide attack on Afghan soil.
Moreover, Yasin has allegedly admitted his affiliation with the Haqqani Network and said that he was assigned for the attack by a commander, Kasu, of the concerned network. The alleged commander, Kasu, said Yasin, is in Pakistan and working under the patronage of notorious ISI. A month earlier at least 29 Haqqani Network terrorists were killed in several US drone attacks. So, Pakistan seems to have retaliated as its strategic assets (the religious extremists) are either being captured or killed US drone attacks and Afghan forces.
Immediately after the arrest of Mohammad Yasin, on April 5, 2017, hardly twenty-four hours later, the Afghan media’s report became headlines on world media that Pakistan-based good Taliban Haqqani Network suicide bomber Mohammad Yasin was arrested, a blast happened in Lahore where six people including army personnel were killed. The astonishing fact is that the blast happened on 7: 45 Am and nearly at mid noon i.e. four hours later Pakistan completed its investigation and concluded that Afghanistan was behind the Lahore blast.
The promptness of the statement on behalf of Pakistan after the arrest of Mohammad Yasin reveals that the Lahore blast was a self-styled attempt by the Pakistani army to sabotage Afghan efforts of capturing Mohammad Yasin and making her way to further move on with its policy of retaining terrorism and proxy war as Pakistan’s regional policy. This immediate blame by Pakistan raises many questions that how the country has succeeded in getting the information of Afghan involvement in Lahore’s blast. Previously, they failed to trace and arrest well-known terrorist like Osama bin Laden, Mullah Omar, Maulvi Mansoor Akhtar, and many others who lived, travelled, and even receive support on the soil of Pakistan. This gathered information about the blast in Lahore and appropriateness of the time is now an opened secret before the world that Pakistan is trying to give the impression that it’s a victim of terrorism. It trying to gain sympathy of the world the world through scapegoating its own people.
The recent past history of Pakistan is evident from such push and pull tactics. Likewise, after Pathankot attack on Indian soil, when evidences were documented about Pakistan’s involvement in that attack, the country claimed to have arrested Kulboshan Yadhav an alleged agent of Indian RAW whom the Pakistanis accused of being involved in subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi. The purpose of this was clearly to portray the Baloch liberation movement as in Indian proxy war and to divert the attention of the world from Baloch cause. However, till date Pakistan has failed to present a single shred of evidence against Mr Yadav. Moreover, the Baloch freedom seekers strongly rejected Pakistan’s baseless allegations which further discredited Pakistan on international level.
Conclusively, once again Pakistan is frustrated and is trying to hoodwink the world and crawling for her lion’s share in Afghan soil and its politics. Pakistan was the first state which recognised Taliban’s illegitimate government in Afghanistan and until now it’s working on the policy to sabotage legitimate government of Afghanistan by imposing its nasty policies of exaggerating war on terror.
Baloch national leader and head of Free Balochistan Movement, Mr Hyrbyair Marri, on 27 March 2017 in a message to a seminar, about Balochistan’s occupation day, in Afghanistan said it clear that Pakistan is the common enemy of Afghan and Baloch nations. Now it’s high time for the Afghan government and the rest of the world to revisit their policy against machinations of Pakistan and understand the will of their people which is possible through understanding the necessity of restoration of an independent Balochistan for regional and global peace and prosperity.
