Your Excellency,
The Baloch Social Media Activists (BSMA) would like to draw the attention of executive body of UNCR to the perpetual Baloch genocidal atrocities committed by Pakistan in Balochistan on the daily basis. As recently as this past week,
six Baloch people’s tortured dead bodies were found in different areas of Mashkay and Hub town; four among them were thrown from flying Pakistan military helicopter.
On Nov 8
th, 2015 Pakistan army conducted an unwarranted three weeks long military operation in Bolan district of Balochistan and
abducted 40 Baloch women with their children, since then entire Baloch civil society has gone on peaceful protests across globe from social media campaign with hashtag #SaveBalochWomen to street protests in London, Germany and other parts of world; but in vain as it seems that the world has
abandoned Secular Baloch at the mercy of ruthless Pakistani rogue state.
These crimes are well registered with all human rights organizations, including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and
Asian Human Rights Commission, Pakistan Human Rights Commission and Baloch Human Rights Organizations, besides thousands of media reports published by world credible newspapers.
Pakistani crimes against humanity in occupied Balochistan are based on a “Kill and Dump” policy designed to contain Balochistan’s political demand – the withdrawal of occupying Pakistani forces from Balochistan.
Since 1948, Pakistan has killed thousands of Baloch people by applying various methods of killings from aerial bombardment to the custodial killing of political workers with blanket impunity from international accountability.
Currently, under the “kill and dump policy”, which begun in 1999, Pakistan army has so far abducted more than 23000 Baloch activists across Balochistan and of them 2000 unfortunate political activists have been killed in the dark dungeons of military torture cells and their bodies have been dumped in mass graves or thrown on deserted areas. Khuzdar, Totuk mass graves tell the tale of 160 unfortunate Baloch who were found by a shepherd in the area. But no DNA test was allowed to determine the identity of these unfortunate Baloch activists by all-powerful colonial Punjabi army. More than 22000 Baloch have been displaced as a result of constant military operations across Balochistan. So far UNHCR has failed to take cognizant of the situation.
Under Pakistani occupation, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights – freedoms of speech, press, assembly, social Justice, access to judicial – exists nowhere in Balochistan.
Though, as a subjugated nation, we are not a so-called member of the United Nations, yet we, as a distinct cultural nation, reserve the rights to demand international protection from all peace-loving nations in keeping with Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
As a victim of foreign aggression, we appeal the UNHCR Executive Body to appoint UN Special Rapporteur on Balochistan human rights violation committed by Pakistan.
With Best Regards,
Baloch Social Media Activists (BSMA)
