Protest demonstration for the recovery of Baloch forced-disappeared activists

Occupied Balochistan, Quetta: The aged mother of Zakir Majeed Baluch has appealed the Baloch Diaspora to take practical steps for the safe recovery and release of her son and thousands of other Baloch forced-disappeared activists. She asked the Baloch people living abroad to organise rallies and hold seminars in support of Baloch abducted persons on international level and expose the Pakistan’s intelligence agencies’ brutal acts to International Community.

She was speaking to media men here at Quetta press club on 46th day of her consecutive protest for the release of her son and thousands of other Baloch political activists, who have been forcefully disappeared by Pakistani military Intelligence.

Zakir Majeed’s sister also spoke at the occasion. She strongly criticised the International Human Rights and other International bodies for ignoring the urgent matter of forced-disappearance in Balochistan. She said it was a matter of shame that International Human Rights Organisation and other aid groups despite of having offices and staff in Balochistan are not taking any interest in the involuntary disappearances. She said “My aged mother and I have been sitting in front of Quetta and Karachi press clubs for two month now but no one seems to be taking any interest in our hues and cries for help. All the so called Organisation claiming to work for humanity and human rights are just passing their time and they have no respect for human rights of the Baluch people”. She went to say that “Can the UN explain to us that where shall we go to seek justice?” The UN despite of being a powerful Organisation was not helping us to recover our loved one from the custody of Pakistani intelligence agencies, where they (loved ones) are suffering inhuman and extreme torture at the hands of Pakistani authorities.
