I often disagree with Tom Friedman, but he is one of the visionary Americans who shapes our foreign policy and is an exceptional policy intellectual who admits his mistakes.
Personally, my own belief has been to be on the side of the forces of freedom, but I found Friedman's emphasis on pluralistic tolerance useful and important.
Baluchistan culture has had a tradition of tolerance for centuries before Friedman was born. Thanks to the sarmachars, victory of freedom and tolerance is still possible in the region. Looking at Baluchistan's geopolitical position and culture, it appears that is what God has intended.
Long live an independent, tolerant, and prosperous Baluchistan.
